Flatboard Community Guidelines
Welcome to the Flatboard community! We're thrilled to have you here.
To ensure a positive and productive experience for everyone, please read and follow these guidelines.
1 · Getting Support
| 🧪 | Support is available for users who help test Flatboard and report issues responsibly. |
| 🔧 | Extension development support is focused on troubleshooting Flatboard's extensibility. |
| ⏳ | Response times vary — please be patient. It may take hours or days for someone to reply. |
| 💬 | Post in the General Questions section to get started, and always provide the requested information. |
2 · Starting a Discussion
- 🔍 Check before you post — search the forum first to avoid duplicate topics.
- 🏷️ Use clear, descriptive titles and the right tags to help others find and respond to your post.
- 🌐 Post in English unless using a multilingual tag.
- 🚫 Do not sign your posts — your profile already identifies you.
Help us stay organized so we can focus on discussion, not cleanup!
3 · Participating in Discussions
- Read the original post and existing replies before responding.
- Add value — ask yourself if your reply contributes meaningfully.
- Avoid one-word posts — use the Reaction button instead.
- Do not post multiple times in a row — edit your previous message if needed.
- Stay on topic — start a new discussion if you want to change the subject.
- Be constructive and inclusive — help build a welcoming community.
💡 Light humor is fine, but avoid derailing discussions.
4 · Community Conduct
- ✅ Be respectful — no offensive language, hate speech, or personal attacks.
- ✅ Do not harass, impersonate, or defame others.
- ✅ Do not share private information or post obscene/explicit content.
- ✅ No spam, phishing, or site defacement.
- ✅ Do not hide link destinations — avoid URL shorteners.
- ✅ No discussion of piracy or illegal activities.
Moderators may edit or remove disruptive content. Serious or repeated violations may result in account suspension.
⚠️ If you have an issue with a member, use the Report feature — do not confront them directly.
5 · Accounts & Access
Public access — The forum is publicly readable; no account is required to browse.
Registration is only needed to participate.
Inactive accounts — Accounts with no posts or contributions may be removed without notice as part of routine housekeeping. If you register, make sure to introduce yourself or contribute to a discussion to keep your account active.
😎 Above all, be cool!
Let's work together to make Flatboard the best it can be.
